I learned about Leah from my sister-in-law, Jacqueline, who recommended her for nutrition and fitness soon after I had my first baby. I had gained 50–60 lbs during pregnancy and needed help. At that time, Jacqueline was working with Leah and was experiencing amazing results!
I started with Leah 12 years ago, after my first baby, and over the years she has taught me habits that I've maintained this long! She truly helps you implement a sustainable lifestyle with nutrition and fitness to reach your goals, whether for weight loss or maintenance. She is knowledgeable, personable, and non-intimidating. Most recently, she’s helped me stay consistent over the past two years after reaching my goal weight.
I achieved my goal weight almost two years ago, and now I’m doing the Renew Cleanse along with Leah’s 30-day meal plan. I find it helpful to challenge myself, especially during seasons with lots of treats around, like Thanksgiving and Halloween. It’s not about perfection; it’s about learning how to live and keep up healthy habits.
After two years of maintenance, I realize we’re never done learning!
This past year, my goal was consistency. I’d used Leah’s recommended approaches to exercise and nutrition to reach my goal, but I needed her help to maintain it and keep going.
I’ve learned so much about nutrition—food truly is fuel. Once I understood what my body needs to stay healthy, it became less about the weight and more about how to live this lifestyle Leah teaches. It’s not about restricting food groups or avoiding events that could affect your goals.
I’ve also learned a ton about exercise. I love it, and I can tend to overdo it. Leah taught me what my body needs for maximum results. Strength training became more enjoyable the longer I stuck with it, and I’ve implemented Leah’s circuits in my home gym between our sessions. Consistency has been key.
Here’s what my lifestyle looks like now:
For nutrition, I keep Leah’s meal plan laminated on the fridge as a reminder of meal ideas. As a family, we eat clean, wholesome foods for the most part, but I don’t stress when weekend dinners look like pizza with a side of veggies. I make swaps here and there—a hamburger bun or dessert at a BBQ is okay.
For exercise, I work out five days a week and take rest days. I alternate strength training circuits, walks or hikes, and running. I see Leah once a week to work out, and even after all these years, I still learn something new. She keeps me accountable.
I’m driven most by my past self. I spent years feeling guilty and beating myself up—always “starting” on Mondays, with binge weekends and restrictive weekdays. Those days are long over, and it’s mentally freeing to no longer be constantly mad at myself.
What I value most about Leah’s program is that it’s sustainable. I’ve been at this for years, and it becomes more ingrained the longer you make it a priority. Leah’s tips stick with you for life!
My best tip for anyone joining Leah’s program would be to commit and stay consistent. There is no magic pill—knowledge is power, and accountability is so important! Anyone can start, but it’s that middle part, when you don’t quit, that really matters.
